Collages by Georgia King

“I started my collaging account @collagebyg as a way for me to channel all of my effort into a central purpose. Each piece takes inspiration from something different. Garden girl was inspired by a polaroid picture I took while on holidays, collateral damage was inspired by the ripple effect different events have on the world. rein nest eternal is a French quote meaning nothing lasts forever; I was inspired by that to try and capture different moments in time. Yellow on film was inspired by the colour of a Kodak disposable cameras. and a new call my by your name is inspired by the movie of the same name.”

Georgia King on her series.

My name is Georgia King and I am 18 years old from Melbourne Australia. I am inspired by many things and often choose to focus on a central theme for each of my pieces. I love art, film, music, photography, polaroids and in general just being creative through different mediums. During isolation I felt myself getting stuck in a rut and got into collaging as a way of maintaining creativity. I love the impact that art in any form can have on another person.
