Beauty during Isolation, what's changed?

“The topic of beauty during a pandemic is one that shouldn't be as relevant but it is for many female-identifying people who use their beauty routines as a way to feel good about themselves, and surely that is not bad at all. We've all been there. I, at least, prefer to be somewhat ready if I go out. Now that the days in this pandemic quickly melty away and it begins to not feel real anymore. I would say that it's hard for me to have reason to get ready, cause who's gonna see me? With all this extra time, I've been finding it easier to feel comfortable in my own skin. Less fixation on my imperfections and letting it be. Not popping any zits, just letting my flaws be. During isolation, mental health becomes a more serious issue to face, (at least for me). I find that sometimes there are just days that you need to find a fake purpose, a reason to just get ready and fix up and make yourself pretty to feel pretty again, since a beauty routine (to me) is meant for self-love and expression.”
