My Night Light

“I’m an 18 year old Bay Area photographer and it’s really more of a hobby than anything else. I just work amongst my friends who would model or help with the costume part of shoots since that’s not my speciality at all. I recently stopped shooting because I really don’t want to spread or contact corona so cutting my hobby from my life was one of the things I had to give up recently. This piece was largely just something fun to do with my friend but there’s a small story behind it. It really began when I was looking for inspiration from old magazines but I noticed that everyone was white which was annoying to say the least since I’m an Indian woman and representation has always been important to me. So I began to make my own Playboy photoshoot with my friend Hannah Lawle. This was one of the parts shot during the summer of 2019.”
